Site Facilities
Everybody wants to know what is available on a campsite; what is there for the kids to do, what entertainment is there etc. At the risk of simply providing a list, here is a list.....with a few words of explanation where appropriate.
Swimming pools
If the water is clean and warm and there are plenty of seats then everybody is happy. We understand this and so we have spent a lot of time since we bought the site to improve the existing swimming pool and baby pool.
The new pool seems to have taken forever to plan and construct but we are delighted the way the pool has turned out. Customers in 2008 were very complimentary about it.
We will be investing in even more sun loungers for 2009 and some of those handy plastic tables so that you have somewhere to put your book/drink/sun cream.
Bar
The bar was extended and refurbished in 2005 and it is the centre of campsite entertainment and evening events such as our boules competitions, quiz and the occasional karaoke.
Last year the bar received great reviews from many customers for the informal atmosphere The weekly quiz usually involves a bit of a singsong and during high season, we try to have at least 1 night a week with a local band playing. Please don't ask for an pint of English bitter at the bar but you can be sure that all major sports events will be on TV.
We have now extended the bar further with the addition of a 48sqm marquee. This provides additional seating areas and a great dance floor for band nights. We have ealso invested in some cool PA and lighting equipment for our band nights.
Tennis Court
In 2007 we added a hard court tennis court to the campsite. It looks great sat just behind the pool area. Cost is 7€/hour and we suggest you book court time when you arrive.

Mole Club (Kids Club)
The children's club is held every weekday from 1030 to 1230 and will operate this year from Monday 20 July to Friday 28 August. Children between 4 and 12 are all welcome and there is a small charge payable locally.
The Mole Club received the highest score on our customer satisfaction survey last year and if the kids are happy then......
The activities sometimes vary according to the weather but Treasure Hunt, Wet 'n' Wild, Ball and Beauty and Party Time are just a few of the theme days that were so popular last year.
Play Areas
There are 2 play areas on site - one in the middle of the site among the trees and a new younger children's play area next to the bar and pool areas.
Mini-Golf
This was a new addition to the site in 2005 - a 10 hole mini-golf course! Not sure how we ended up with 10 holes rather than the more usual 9 but we are busy planting and adding landscaping to the new links course in time for high season. This is free to use.
Sports Field
Just behind the new pool we have our own sports field. There is usually an early evening footie match being organised during high season and we host weekly 5-a-side tournaments too with no upper age limits!
We have invested in a white line machine in 2008 so the pitch is already looking good enough to challenge the new Wembley stadium.
Takeaway
The takeaway on site is run by Claude who has previously been a chef at top restaurants in Paris and New York. So why is he now on a campsite in Brittany providing the most exceptional food from our takeaway? Not sure really, other than he is now semi-retired, he loves the area and he loves Quinquis. Claude loves it even more now as we built him a brand new kitchen in 2008.
The takeaway is open every evening in high season and during other main holiday periods and you can always plan to grab a bite to eat from Claude when you arrive after a long journey.
Prices are very reasonable at the takeaway and you can order special dishes from Claude at any time.
We won't say any more about the quality or the reasonable prices of the takeaway - you can try it for yourself when you are here.
Shop and Bread Run
The small shop on site is part of reception and always has the essentials - particularly handy when you first get here. Some customers have asked us to stock a wider range of goods in the shop and we will try a few a few more lines this year but shopping in the excellent local supermarkets is all part of the French experience so please don't expect an M & S food hall here.
You can, however, in high season collect your fresh bread from the shop every morning. Our day starts with the daily bread run to the local boulangerie so that you can simply stroll up to the shop (or better still, send the kids) to collect your fresh baguettes, croissants, pain au chocolat.
We also sell telephone cards, postcards and stamps.
Library
There is small library on site where you can borrow or swap your holiday reading.
Washing machines
Hopefully, you will just need to rinse out your bathing costumes but if you need washing machines and dryers we have ample facilities in the large toilet block. Our prices for teh washers and dryers haven't changed since 2006!

Bike Hire
Bike hire is really popular at Quinquis. We now have a fleet of about 50 bikes but in high season there are rarely any left. Please see our dedicated page for prices and how to book.
