  • Driving

The majority of our British customers take one of the cross channel ferries and drive here. Our location in southern Brittany means that the shortest driving time in France is from the western channel ports of St Malo (2½ hours) and Roscoff (1½ hours).

However, we are also easily accessible from

    • Caen with shorter crossing times and more daily crossings
    • Cherbourg which offers fast craft crossings from Poole and Portsmouth
    • Le Havre with crossings from Portsmouth on the economy Brittany Ferries service
    • Dieppe from Newhaven

If you use the Chunnel the driving time is between 7 and 8 hours depending on stops.

Driving in France is usually pretty easy but there are few things you need to be aware of which are detailed on our Travel Tips page.

  • Booking a Ferry

We are delighted to be now offering a ferry booking service for Brittany Ferries. This includes all of their crossings from Plymouth, Portsmouth, Poole and Irish Sea crossings too.

If you would like us to get you a price and/or book your ferry please take a look at www.brittany-ferries.co.uk first to decide on your preferred route and then drop us a line. We will get you a price that is less expensive than you booking directly and you can then make 1 payment for your combined holiday and ferry crossing.

  • Flying

If you would prefer to fly to northern France and pick up a hire car then there are now a number of excellent options available.

Ryanair fly to Dinard near St Malo from East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, and London Stanstead.

Flybe offer a number of good options to fly to either Rennes or Brest from Exeter, Southampton, Birmingham and Manchester. Their flights also link with other airports such as Newcastle and Edinburgh to get you to Brest too.

There is also a flight from London City Airport to Quimper about 40 minutes from Quinquis. We think that this is with BA or Air France.

Air France also now operate a kind of no frills airline within their own airline called Hop and flights to Lorient which is only 20 minutes from us are now more possible
